This group is from Mansfield, Ohio who gave us the great rock song "Little Bit O'Soul". Although they released four other singles ("Sunshine Games" at #63 was their next biggest song), they qualify as a One-Hit Wonder because "Little Bit O'Soul" was their only Top 40 hit.
John Carter and Ken Lewis wrote the song; they had written for other artists including Herman's Hermits.
The Music Explosion were:
James "Jamie" Lyons, lead singer and percussion
Donald Atkins and Richard Nesta, guitars
Burton Stahl on bass
Robert Avery on drumsSource URL: http://acsblogrock.blogspot.com/2011/07/music-explosion.html
