This one should be close. Mariah started out like gangbusters but hasn't been able to match her early success since. Celine Dion spotted Carey a few years head start but has been a consistent hitmaker through the years. Not only that, but Dion has been far more successful on the Adult Contemporary charts, while Carey's success (especially of late) has been primarily teens.
